Calderdale Pride is one of the BIGGEST events in Calderdale.
Calderdale Pride is an annual celebration of the LGBTQ+ community. We have developed a vibrant and wholly inclusive event for the residents of Calderdale and beyond.
Over 25,000 people attended Calderdale Pride in 2024 and a record-breaking 27,700 people attended in 2023, making it the largest event The Piece Hall has hosted. We're consistently attracting people from all over the UK and internationally!
We support the local economy by bringing local and national businesses that want to support a lively and loyal LGTBQ+ community.
Run by a dedicated group of volunteers, it's a free and inclusive event, relying on donations, grants, fundraising and importantly - sponsorship.
Calderdale Pride is effective because it welcomes everyone and aims to foster acceptance by creating a safe space to allow people to be their true authentic selves.

Calderdale Pride is self-funded and ran by a committee of volunteers. We pride ourselves (pun intended) on providing a free event for the LGBTQ+ community and its allies. In 2023, we filled The Piece Hall with a record 28,000 attendees, whilst in 2024 we saw 25,000 people flock to Halifax & Calderdale to spread love, joy and acceptance.
Our continuous aim is to empower individuals within the community to feel safe to be their true, authentic selves whilst bolstering Calderdale's profile as a place of acceptance, welcoming and love for the LGBTQ+ community.
